Terrible service, waited an hour for a coke. Food came before drinks. Asked 4 waitress staff for coke. Complained to manager and didn’t even have decency to take off menu. Used to be a form favourite but the staff were all so rude.

Great space and vibrant atmosphere. We sat at the bar and we found the bar staff to be lacking in experience and did not feel we were provided with a professional service. Constantly had to ask for things that should have been provided. There was no sleekness to the operations .. just a little slap dash ..

2nd visit to the Brasserie and to be honest it was extremely disappointing…. Service was poor as was the food. we were there for breakfast at 9.30am and was amongst a handful of tables at that time - food ordered for our table of 7 I personally ordered 2 poached eggs on toast with side of bacon …. The toast was cold, unbuttered and was not toasted the poached eggs were cold and hard and the bacon and butter turned up 5 minutes later … butter rock hard and bacon cold to join the rest of the cold food… I sent it all back completely inedible for me anyway … other bacon was cold and this got sent back all eggs ordered were tepid in temperature and for a restaurant of this quality in a store like selfridges seems disappointing as well as it being part of The Ivy Group it hardly screams quality! Anyway at the end the manager in charge deducted my meal, all bacon and the service charge without me even complaining- I appreciated the gesture but would have preferred to have paid for everything in full and enjoyed the food and experience of the Brasserie of Light - it’s simple food that shouldn’t be able to be served so badly and tbh I would not go back and would not recommend.

Love visiting this restaurant-always for the Dorset crab- which is presented beautifully-however on this occasion I felt it was not up to its usual standard. The Cos lettuce and avocado it was presented on was not fresh and therefore let the product down. Staff were lovely and attentive.
