Bow & Stern is our go-to in Abbotsford, especially if we are attending an event at Abbotsford Centre. The fish and chips are always dependably good. My new favorite are the clams with Spanish chorizo! Wow!! We were a party of four before a concert and the service was friendly and professional. We never felt rushed even though they were very busy.

Most of us loved our food! The lobster Mac and cheese was amazing (very rich, but great!). The noise level was a bit loud, but we could hear our group relatively okay. We were a large group at 8 of us, so an automatic gratuity of 18%. I find that an irritating policy, especially as I feel the service barely matched that tip percentage. For instance our friends ordered a bottle of wine to be served with dinner. They had to ask twice after their meal came where the wine was. And the servers response was they were out of clean wine glasses. When we were ordering our food the server stayed at one end of the table so those of us at the far end were practically shouting to get our orders, until one of the people in my group just asked her to come to our side of the table. I will say they complemented my husbands dessert and had a lovely sprinkler in it for his birthday. And although it was a princely meal, it was reasonable considering it was seafood. I would go again.

Great spot for a date night! The atmosphere is lively, though tends to be a bit on the loud side. I can’t say enough good things about the tofu poke bowl. Absolutely delicious! So fresh and full of flavour. Great service, especially considering how busy it was! The food and drinks came in a timely manner. Would highly recommend!

Food was nicely presented and substantial although none of us particularly liked the smashed potatoes. The waitress was pleasant although slow to offer us drinks after seating. All in all we would return to try other items on the menu.

I had the salmon cakes which were to die for and the Boston clam chowder. Can’t wait to come back.

It was pretty much a perfect experience. My friend and I were seated at a window table which was completely isolated so there was never any noise or foot traffic. Our server played off our mood perfectly and always seemed to be there at the exact moment we needed her. The food was fantastic. We shared a shrimp and ginger gyoza and the flavours were crisp and distinct. For our main course we each chose the prawn and mango tacos and even though it was just last night I’m ready to go back and have more…they were amazing!!! This was my first time at the restaurant but it’s definitely not my last. It’s my daughter and son-in-laws favourite place and I’m pretty sure it’s going to become mine as well!
