Food was terrible. The steak was like my sole of my shoe and the banoffi was just a glass of gone off cream

Wine was not good, I’ve had better pornstar martinis, they were a bit syrupy. Prawn starter not great. Calamari was delicious. Sharing steak platter was very tasty. Staff were very nice.

Really enjoyed the food. Service was great. The restaurant was fully booked but no impact on service or quality. Will go again for sure.

Not good if you have allergies. I booked a family meal via Open Table on Tuesday 17th December for 4 pm the following day, Wednesday 18th December, using the additional information facility to state "One of our party has allergies - dairy, eggs, nuts, and fish". Usually, a steak house like Boeuf & Coq is a perfect venue as she normally has a steak and it is reasonably straightforward to cook on a clean pan. We received no feedback or questions from the restaurant. We arrived just before 4 pm and were shown to our table - the fairly large restaurant wasn't busy at all (surprising as most places I tried to book the evening before via Open Table had no availability). The menus were already on the table and we were left to choose our meal without being asked if we would like a drink. The staff were more concerned with some canisters being delivered, which seemed to require all their attention. When they finally asked for our food order (still no drinks), we reminded them of the note regarding allergies. The waitress's response stated that she knew already what the kitchen would say - "we can't serve you". She didn't even ask the kitchen - indicating this is the normal response. We asked for the manager - to put it simply, he blamed us. Why should we expect them to serve our daughter basically? He explained that "the kitchen is very messy", "there is flour and fish everywhere" and that "we would have to wash the pan properly". We were also told that they "cook everything in the same pan" - one pan for so many tables??? Neither the waitress nor the manager made any suggestions (I feel for the waitress as she seemed to know there was no point approaching the kitchen). They did not seem at all educated about allergies as the manager seemed to think our daughter was allergic to 'veg'. One of the very worst experiences we have ever had. If you have allergies or are vegan, I wouldn't even consider booking this place.

We went in and got given water in a still bottle that tasted like watered down sparkling water. We had our menus closed for 15 minutes and nobody even took a drink order. We had planned to have cocktails, starters and mains and when nobody cam enear us we left after 20 minutes. Most of the bar and floor staff had spent the time chatting with eachother. As a manager in hospitality I won't be visiting again

We arrived and ordered 30mins before the lunch menu offer expired and we were charged full price. Service was appalling from the moment we entered the restaurant and it was not even busy and trying to get someone's attention for the drinks menu or to order was shocking.
