My scallop dish was delicious but my husbands hanger streak was burnt to a crisp. I supposed the chef was trying to char it but it was really just badly burnt. Would not order steak here again.

This is an upscaled price restaurant with excellent food. Opportunities for aligning ambiance and service with the quality of food and prices that were noted: 1/ a cocktail in an upscale restaurant should not have a cheap maraschino cherry. Small detail and big impact. 2/ Overall the decor is pleasant but the bare wood table feels worn and dated. 3/ Pacing the meal or asking diners how they wish to pace the meal would better align with an upscale establishment, i.e. do not serve appetizer while diners are still drinking cocktail, ask for transition to wine selection before serving entree, wait for wine to be consumed prior to offering dessert (or at least check in if customers are ready for dessert menu). 4/ While I prefer fewer food choices, the dessert menu has the opportunity to have better selection.

Nice buffet breakfast. Choice of juice, tea or coffee.
Buffet included: hot oatmeal or cold cereal. Bacon, sausages, potatoes, scrambled eggs, french toast, fresh fruit, cheese slices, lox with cream cheese and bagels
Also toast and pastries.
Being that the restaurant is in a hotel, the price was kind of high. They also charged an 18 percent gratuity.
I have to say for a buffet what I had was hot.
Didn't try the French toast because that is usually just warm. nor did I have the bacon.

The meals were excellent in taste and presentation. The service was unfortunately on the slow side. It took too long to get our drink order and the dessert. We were quite far from each other at the table making it a little hard to hear each other.

When making reservations, we included food allergies, yet neither hostess nor server mentioned it, and my husband's food had dairy in it, which he cannot eat. My appetizer was pickled beets with too much vinegar.
We had a bottle of still water, and after it was done, they did not ask if we wanted another, and then a server poured tap water into our glasses that still had some of the bottled water in them!
I did not finish my meal and asked to have it wrapped, so after they cleared our plates and cutlery, the server brought a food container for me to do it myself, and I had no cutlery to move it into the box.

Very satisfied with New Years Eve dinner. No surprises. Everything was spot on. My wife and I got the filet mignon, which was excellent. The appetizer (cannot remember what it was) was outstanding as well. We don't eat dessert, so we got the cheese platter to go.

Excellent food. Steak perfectly done to request. Desserts incredible. Server rarely seen unfortunately. Had the same empty glass of water for the entire 90 minutes there.
