   The VUMC Nephrology Dept LOVES The Blue Aster. Their staff are so kind and accommodating. The food is incredible. The atmosphere is perfect. We will be back again and again!!! We can’t say enough how wonderful you all are! A special shout out to Daniel Gallardo, the manager, for going above and beyond every time we visit.

   I recently visited this establishment for breakfast on two consecutive days, hoping for a better experience the second time around, but unfortunately, it was consistently disappointing. Firstly, I was surprised to find that I was charged for an entire pot of coffee for just one person. It seemed excessive and unnecessary, especially when the server (Wil) and he was horrible, never bothered to check on us to see if we needed refills for our other drinks or anything else. The food, on both days, was undercooked and lacked the quality I expected. It was clear that attention to detail was missing in the kitchen, which significantly affected the overall dining experience. Moreover, the service was lackluster. The server (Wil) never asked how our breakfast was, leaving us feeling neglected and unimportant. This lack of engagement and care from the staff was disheartening, especially for a Diamond member. Overall, my visits were quite disappointing, and I hope the management takes these issues into consideration to improve their service and food quality. I would not return here.

   The staff was exceptional in saying we could say when each course was to be served. They NEVER hurried us. When I asked why the gratuity was taxed, they quickly involved the manager who thanked me for bringing it to his attention. I don’t mind paying taxes, but for me to pay tax and then the staff to be taxed on the gratuity, it’s not just!! They were great about boxing up the food we could not finish. We could even have a second kind of tea. It was relaxing, it was delicious, it was a wonderful experience ALL of them were attentive but not intrusive

   We had dinner last night at Blue Aster and couldn’t be more pleased, from the moment we were greeted by the host to the end it was perfection. Food was out of this world, we had cabbage and octopus for appetizers and their pasta for main course, dessert was superb Will definitely be back

   Beautiful hotel! I was disappointed in the service. They said they were out of hot water? It was afternoon tea. How can that be possible? Afternoon tea is a pricey luxury, and being out of hot water and not bringing tea for 45 minutes is not acceptable. The treats were beautiful, and most of them were lovely and tasty. We did not finish them all, and they were out of containers to take them with us. Eventually, they provided small burger sized containers to take them, but all were smashed and ruined for later. We will try The Hermitage next time. It was way too expensive for the entirety if the experience and the level of service.

   Just wonder If maybe you got a new cook since last year? The pancakes and French toast were not as good as they were the last time we visited. Don’t get me wrong they were still good…just not fabulous. Other than that wonderful time!

   Overall pleasant experience (high tea). Great variety of sandwiches, though the egg salad was a little bland. The sweets are very good. I enjoyed the ambiance.
