   Let me start of with 2 things 1- We did have a large party which I took into consideration. 2- Our waitress had a trainee (tall bald guy) and he was great however the trainer (she) was the worst ever. Dinner started out fairly well even with the waitress being slightly abrupt (almost rude) everyone sides were cold and when the waitress forgot the garlic butter she was more worried about being right then making it right and getting me what I asked for, the garlic butter was cold to the paint it was thick. The bill can and the waitress messed everyone’s up and sat to the side talking about us while the trainee fixed it. Hats off to the trainee he did everything right and tried he noticed us talking about the cold sides and did ask if everything was ok which we said yes because we did not want to make thongs difficult for him because he was really trying. This is my 3rd time of bad service for dinner but lunch has always been good I think going forward I will go across the street to The Cheesecake Factory. My receipt say server was Chris C I’m not sure if that was the trainer or Trainee but the trainer should be fired.

   We enjoyed our first visit. We had a very friendly server named Lilly who treated us well. We will be back for a return visit!

   Drinks ordered before the meal took forever to come out. Ordered dinner and it was delivered timely except for a bowl of chili that took a really long time to arrive. The strange thing was that our food came out but we didn’t have any silverware. We had to ask and then it still took a few minutes for the silverware to arrive. So there we sat looking at our food and not being able to eat.

   BJ’s Grand Rapids was a first for us last night. The food was very good with many choices. Their craft beer was better than most …Fantastic ambiance..Jenny our server was very attentive and personable. Definitely will be back.

   Had a group of six & were seated with a reservation. Our waitress was very busy but stopped and got our drinks coming. We waited a while for food but when it did come out it was hot and tasty. We sat on the side where the delivery services pick up, so the outside door was constantly opening. At 20* we were definitely feeling the draft! The space is large and open, TV screens are running and will be back!

   We had a reservation for 6:30 and did not get seated till 7:45. We were told multiple times we would be seated next and that did not happen. My friend then ordered steak and 20 minutes later was told to change his order because they were out. My food was cold and burnt by the time we finally ate around 9pm. This was not the best experience.

   Food was great as always. We were admittedly a large party (8) and it was New Years Eve— but we were all shocked that it took almost an hour after being seated to get our dinner. Thankfully we had ordered a few appetizers to tide us over. There was a significant wait for dessert too. We had a 5:15 reservation, and none of us were expecting dinner to take 2.5 hrs. Our waiter was not the issue, and honestly it was hard to tell what the issue was. I understand it was a holiday, but there was also no communication about the long wait time for food. That part was just sort of weird.

   New Years Eve - 5:00 pm reservations. They were understaffed and our waiter did the best he could but was overwhelmed by number of tables he was covering. Didn’t bring appetizers or salads before main course. Glad we had an early dinner because place was packed and long wait when we left.

    We had ten people on Christmas Eve! Our server was amazing, kind, professional, and food service was fast. She recommended the jambalaya to those who love spicy, and it was amazing. Burgers, pizza, everything came out hot and tasty. Thank you, BJ’s, for making our family feel welcome!
