   I was very excited to take my wife (as a surprise) to the dinner at Bistro 120 as I heard so many great things about the establishment. We celebrate Valentines Day the day after each year and so I called ahead to see if I could drop off some flowers for my wife and have them on the table when we arrived. The hosted that I spoke to assured me this would be no problem and I could come by anytime after they open on the day off and drop them off and they would put them in the fridge. I drove out to Oakdale around 2pm to drop them off and the manager informed me the y could not do that because of liability. That was the craziest thing I had every heard. Have worked at a high end restaurant while in college, my request was a very common one. Needless to say I left upset and almost canceled my reservation, but I didnt. We had dinner and my ribeye steak and my wife's chicken picata were to die for, SO GOOD! The service was horrible though. We were not greeted for almost 10 minutes, took 15 minutes to get two non-alcoholic drinks and order. I had a substitute for my veggies side. When the dropped off the food I told the person and never saw them again. Our waitress checked on us about 25 minutes after our food was dropped and I was half done. I reminded her of my veggies and she said she would get them right away. They came almost 20 minutes later when my food was done.

   Food was excellent! Please convey to the chef who prepared our Salmon - it was done to perfection and the flavors, "oh so delicious". This was our second time for waitress Deeanna L. She helped make our Valentine's Day a delight. We will continue to ask for her. My financee and I were disappointed to see the "Pickled Beet salad" removed from the menu. We had the salad once before and it was such a surprise. Who would ever think a beet salad would be so flavorful and so good, but it certainly was. And it has a surprise awesome crunchiness to it. That said, we were so much looking forward to having again. A big disappointment when not seeing on the menu and hearing, "yes it had been taken off". If the salad is not popular, we would wager it is due to people thinking like we first did, "how good could a pickled beet salad be". We hope you put it back on the menu and advertise it!    Frank our server was very delightful. The service he gave us was outstanding. Food was just okay. We were very concerned, though that I got my cocktail before my husband even got his glass of wine, needs to be more people bartending besides only one.

   Brought my two daughters for a valentines date, the salad was horrible; pay attention to your table! Read the room; my 12 year older asked for a Cesar, had the server asked if my 12-year old wanted anchovies on her salad she would have said no. The server brought it out with anchovies. The salad was wilted, not okay. The server forgot my drink, twice- I had to ask another server for my club soda- our server ignored us several times as we sat there waiting and waiting with no eye contact no checking in, nothing. My other daughter ordered a burger well done. The burger came out beyond red. When I booked through open table I placed a message sharing in bringing my daughters for a special date and anything they could do to make it special would be greatly appreciated; wow…way to go Bistro 120- completely ruined a very rare and special moment for a father attempting to impress his baby girls. I will never come back and will certainly tell others what to expect; not much.

   The service, food, and ambiance were 5 star! I took a chance and visited from Modesto with my wife for the first time for our Valentine's celebration, and I hit the jackpot.

   Good food, but overpriced. Extremely poor service...vegetables didn't arrive until after meal consumed.

   Bistro 120 is a favorite of ours! The food is fabulous and the staff is great! It is noisy so be prepared. Having said that, it is AMAZING!!

    This restaurant lacked execution in the quality of their plates. They seem to have the right combination of choices in the menu, But when we ordered the food, it lacked flavor and freshness. This is an over thought hipster restaurant that leaves you wishing for more substance. The pictures in their OpenTable add are nothing like reality. They are  completely different recipes. For example the Korean short ribs are pork now instead of beef. The butter cake looks nothing like the image and should be rejected at all cost. Their new recipe is gritty and terrible. Find somewhere else you’ll be glad you did
