   I had a great lunch at Benny John’s. I was half an hour late for my reservation, but I was seated and served with no problem. The service was attentive and the food was delicious.

   Originally we were seated in the walkway, but the host was kind enough to switch us to a table in the back. The waiter took a while to come to us and seemed a bit rushed to get our entire order all at once. I was a bit disappointed they wouldn't make me a Hugo Spritz since they had all of the ingredients, but the cucumber martini was good. The food was simply OK, though my friend said the lobster bisque was very salty. Honestly, it felt a bit overpriced for the quality...

   Fantastic atmosphere just what we needed after a day of madness in New York. Service was excellent, food was great although more expensive than I expected.

   Wonderful nite! 9 of us including a 3 year old. Delish food, great service, wonderful ambience. It was a lovely evening! Beyond our expectations! Highly recommend!

   food was only OK. not enough starters. they put a table of 4 directly behind a table of 8 right near the bathroom so people were squeezing by every 2 minutes when there were plenty of other seating choices open at the time of our reservation. likely will not go back

   Second visit. Second great meal. Split a rib eye, perfectly prepared and sliced, with my guest. Creamed spinach top notch. The French Fries were not crispy (how I prefer them), but tasty. I was a little surprised that I had to ask for a cocktail menu and then a wine list, but other than that the wait staff did a great job. A new go-to place in mid-town

    This was our second visit as we decided to give it another chance because the food was very good, but the service was poor. The service this time was excellent as you would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. I purposely didn't leave a review after the first visit because I didn't want to leave a poor review, but our server was condescending, arrogant, and purposely delayed requests. It took more than 5 minutes for an ice tea, another 5 min for suger? and 10 minutes for lemon. He rolled his eyes a few times and made snide comments, and we never even got bread even though we both ordered pasta. When paying the check with cash, he again rolled his eyes and acted offended when we responded that we wanted change. He brought back 18 ones and no cents. The 20% tip was $11.49. I left $12, but I would have normally left more. My wife wanted me to leave less. The pasta was excellent, but he definitely left a bad taste in our mouths. Our second visit was superb. Our server was super knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. The shrimp cocktail was fabulous, and the thick cut bacon was very tasty, and a meal in itself. We even got bread even though we ordered the veggie burger and the Rock burger. My burger was a 1/2 pound or more and definitely delicious. My wife is a pescatarian, and she was Luke warm on the Veggie burger because she would have preferred more veggies and less quinoa. Overall, the food and ambiance are wonderful. The steaks look and smell great and got lots of compliments. I'll definitely try one next time. The service depends on your server. When we mentioned our negative first experience to the concierge at our hotel, they knew exactly who we were talking about. Still, this is a must-have visit if you want excellent food at decent prices and generous portions.
