   Precious was our chef and she was amazing!!!! Food cooked to perfection and super sweet! I appreciate how she read the table. There was an older crowd at her table and she could tell we wanted to eat and not be too entertained by the loud clacking of the knife and spatula! Funny and personable. Would definitely go back to her table!!!

   Our experience was the worst we’ve had, we had a reservation and we still waited a long time to be seated. They said something about being behind schedule. We ordered drinks and that took a while as well, we had to go to the bar to get our drinks. The food also took a while and when we got it it was cold and had no flavor it was filled with butter that’s about it.

   My reservation was at 8. My family and I came in 15 minutes EARLY… we did not get seated till 8:30. Waitress took over 10 minutes to get us straws my ice in my soda was even melted. 8:43 our order was put in. Why did it took the chef an hour to come out. 10:30 was around the time our food was ready. I hardly ate because i was over it. $400 for the worst service ever. If i wanted a bad experience at benihana i could have went to torrance location. Manager and server kept telling us the chef is coming. Yet it still took and hour. Chef was great food was a little on the salty side. but over all i could of took my business elsewhere where.

   I had a reservation and I waited 1 hour. The hostess seated my party and didn’t have enough chairs for us. She added another chair. My daughter was seated at the corner of the table near the cook. I asked if I can wait for another table she stated I had to wait another hour. We where sitting down like sardines no room at all. She was rude and had an attitude. How do you fit 10 people in a table. I decided to leave. Maybe I was not the right color of skin. It was my first visit to the Downey restaurant. I have ate at other Benihana restaurants. This is the worst location.

   We made reservations at 7:45 still had us waiting for an hour. Got seated at 9:00 and the chef didn’t show up until 9:30. Idk

   We waited over an hour with a reservation! We didn’t even get to eat because we left since we had kids that were staving. We sat at our table waiting for the chef and never came! Will not be dinning at this location ever again!

    The chef we had, Derrick, was OUTSTANDING. He was very entertaining, energetic and just a lot of fun. The food was AMAZING. The service was the only thing that prevented me from giving all 5 stars. I had a to go order and they forgot my fried rice. I didn’t realize until I got to the destination of where I was taking the food to. The person I ordered for was really disappointed that the fried rice wasn’t in the bag. Not to mention, I was charged for it and the server didn’t make sure that I had everything in the bag to complete the order.
