Bench is — (1) A neighbourhood hangout with communal bistro-style dining serving seasonal dishes alongside cocktails, natural wine and beer.

(2) A neighbourhood wine shop.

Please note our policies before booking:

- Our focus is on a communal dining experience so please be aware you may be sharing the table with other guests. We are open until 11pm, last savoury food orders are at 9:30pm.

-The full dinner menu is available from 5pm Wednesday - Saturday

- We require advance notice of any dietary requirements including vegetarian, vegan and pescatarian - please note this on your reservation.

    Fabulous food, interesting wine and the service was really great. My only complaint and it impacted my enjoyment, was the restaurant is not heated properly and was so cold, we all kept our coats and scarves on throughout the 2 hour sitting

    We absolutely loved our evening at Bench, the food was amazing, the staff were fun and attentive and the atmosphere was vibrant. We will be back again!

    Great meal, enjoyed by four of us. We shared 10 items and found it difficult to choose our favourite as they were all so good. Very friendly and helpful staff.

    Fabulous food and cocktails. Like the new lower bench. Room a little cold but weather was very cold. Lovely service as always

    Great range of food available. My friend is coeliac and I’m vegetarian and there was lots for us to eat. The wine was lovely too and only £5 a glass at lunchtime on Saturdays!

    Great ambience, nice and cosy restaurant with a selection of exciting dishes that seem to be very well thought of. Friendly service and very attentive. However, use of salt needs reconsidering. We tried 5 different dishes, they were all greatly combined and executed, ingredients are fresh and top quality, but taste was too salty. In some cases, the salt just covered every other little taste in the dish.

    Lovely little restaurant tucked away in Hunters Bar. Food is really good. Imaginative choices, well cooked. Ambience is very pleasant and service friendly and professional. We had a really nice evening at bench. Recommended.
