The Beehive is an underground Bohemian eatery and bar featuring fabulous cuisine, libations, artwork and world class live music. Nestled below the Boston Center for the Art’s historic Cyclorama in Boston’s South End, we are conveniently located to local theaters, the Calderwood Pavilion as well as Boston's Theater district. The Beehive serves the eclectic fare of Chef Ryan Skeen - rustic comfort food infused with American and Mediterranean influences. Charged an entertainment fee of 6% of our total bill, even though the entertainment started over halfway into our meal. Tables and chairs very small, we felt very squeezed despite making a reservation in advance for our party size. Felt rushed by servers despite the 5 of us being in and out within 2 hours. Also, tipping off the pad and having the tip be 20% of the total (inclusive of tax and entertainment fees) feels like a trick to get a few extra bucks.

From the Front Door to the servers to the band, the entire experience was outstanding. Food and drinks were quick and delicious. Servers were helpful but not obtrusive. Areas of improvement -- tables were a smidge small where we were seating. And parking in the area is quite difficult. Take an Uber, parking is rather tough. Otherwise an outstanding evening.

Returned to the Beehive for a birthday celebration. Great spot, food was fantastic, service impeccable and the music was great. Can’t wait to visit again.

Fun that they offer a blues brunch, but unfortunately the band was on break for the first 45 minutes of our time there. Food was OK. Not incredible, but the vibe was good. Service was excellent!!

The hostesses who greeted us were very friendly and pleasant. Our server was prompt and service was quick. The jazz band was fabulous and nice to listen to, overall a very pleasant experience. Would highly recommend

The vibe of the Beehive is unmatched, with live jazz music and great cocktails. The menu is a little bit random, but we ordered the muscles and they were delicious. We had a great server and could've stayed the whole night just to hang out!
