   Food was good. Temperature was hot so you could tell it was brought right out. We never got our appetizer. Music was blaring but halfway through meal we noticed it had been turned down. They added a fee for using cards and didn’t take it off after we used cash. Only a few bucks but feels like rip off.

   My family and I really love Becks; it’s on our weekly rotation for family night out. The cowgirl ribeye is incredible; always smoky, tender and perfectly cooked. My brothers devoured the fish special and the short ribs. Waiter was attentive and paced the meal perfectly. The only thing that could have been better was the hostess. We were seated as soon as the restaurant opened and were maybe the 4th party seated. The hostess led us to a terrible table right but the front doors where the bright sun was steaming in (the place was literally empty). I requested a different table and the hostess offered an equally bad table right beside the reception stand. Why? The place was empty. Small gripe but it wasn’t a great start. The rest of the meal was delicious and appreciated.

   This was our first trip to BECKS. I had the Filet. Very tasty, well seasoned, right temperature and very moist despite medium well. Sides were very good. Had the Shrimp Bisque which is REALLY a shrimp gumbo and a bit spicy but I ate every spoonful. Wife had the Salmon and loved it. Son had the Ribeye and loved it. Shared the Peach Cobler with vanilla ice cream for desert. Saw a LOT of the Fried Chicken Sandwichs leaving the kitchen counter! Think that I will try it next. Enjoyed every bit of it. May be my new favorite in Augusta!

   I had the Grilled Tuna and it was amazing. Sarah our server was awesome and so attentive. She made our evening so special and relaxing.

   Server was always no where to be found. Had to ask another server to send our server to our table. That server came back and stated that she could not find our server so she would help. Had to send my first meal back due to the grouper was over cooked. However the cowboy steak was really good. All sides that came out were cold. Server shared that they have to serve them room temperature. She never asked if our drinks needed to be refilled. Ordered the pound cake and asked for it to be warmed , server shared that it had been warmed by sitting it out for it to get room temperature.

   One of the best meals we’ve had here in Augusta. The server was very knowledgeable of the menu and answered all our questions. The atmosphere was great. Looking forward to going back again soon.

    I don’t usually go out for dinner on Thursday nights but I was craving the cowgirl ribeye at Becks. It was delicious, juicy and made me very happy. Perfectly cooked medium rare. The beet salad, sans beets, is a huge salad and well composed. Next visit I want to try bar top service. Really enjoy this place. Great service, very friendly.
