   Really enjoyed our time at Bear this afternoon. The staff were wonderfully helpful and decorated a table for our friends baby bump get together! The food and drinks arrived really quickly and were all really tasty!

   The coffees we ordered were cold and needed to be replaced. The poached eggs with the smashed avocado were cold and not runny. The bacon was cold. The take next to me sent hers back as the toast wasn't toasted. Don't get me wrong, the food tasted lovely. However, for the value paid, I expected hot coffee and food. Perhaps the kitchen cannot cope with the volume of people on a Saturday.

   Food was good apart from the pizza that was undercooked and no draft beers available which was disappointing with no real alternatives

   Try to avoid busy Saturday lunchtimes it can all be a bit chaotic and customer service really nosedives

   We're were ignored at the greeting area for at least 8 minutes, so we walked to the coffee bar, where we were told to 'wait a minute' while the girl behind the coffee bar studied an iPad. She didn't look up again, didn't greet us other than to tell us to wait, and did not acknowledge me at all when I told her 'we'll leave it, thanks'. I have never been totally ignored in a restaurant before, and I would have thought that in a city with so much competition it is a risky strategy. Any way, we went instead to The Exeter Arms, where the greeting was warm and friendly, the service was attentive, and the food was awesome. I was more than happy to hand over my 50 quid for two beers, two g&t's, and two delicious lunches. Top tip - give Bear a miss and try the Exeter.

   Food was excellent staff were great. Massive downside tge tables ate so close together ridiculously close no chance of having a private conversation here.

   The service was very friendly and the food arrived promptly. Quality of food was reasonable. Toilet areas are in need of a good cleaning.

   Ordered two House Full breakfasts. Arrived quickly but it’s apparent that some items are precooked. Bacon very crispy but ok. Sausages over done. Mushrooms overwhelmed with herbs and garlic. Not very tasty. Not a bad breakfast but I’ve had better.
