BAYTE, is a modern European neighbourhood restaurant with an emphasis on local sourcing and quality produce in the seaside town of St Leonards-on-Sea. The seasonal menu blends influences from across the globe, with particular reference to Italian recipes, such as hand-rolled pastas.
The meat at BAYTE is free-range and reared on biodynamic, organic Haye Farm in Devon. Vegetables are also sourced from organic suppliers, most of them from English and Japanese vegetable growers Namayasai, and Goat Grid Farm, both in nearby Lewes.

We were a group of 6 having a late lunch on a Saturday. The restaurant was pretty busy, but service was pretty attentive and it was great to see the chefs buzzing around in the open kitchen. We all agreed it was one of the best meals we'd had in a long time and although prices were pretty punchy, we devoured everything and wanted more. Our top favourites were the croquettes, bavette steak, buttered swede, rice pudding and tiramisu - veggie/gluten free options also went down very well. We loved every dish and will definitely return.

Creative, well presented and delicious food. From starters through to desserts, each dish was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with great service that was prompt and welcoming. Would definitely eat there again.

Such a wonderful meal, great service, delicious food and a beautiful ambience. The portion sizes were just right. No complaints at all! Can't wait to enjoy not only Pasta Monday again, but return to see what else BAYTE offers! Thanks for a great evening.

Every dish was delicious! We were a group of seven on a Saturday lunchtime. We ordered all the small starters to share, and enjoyed this and every course. We loved it!
