Welcome to Topa at Provisions! Topa (meaning "cheers" in Basque) brings a taste of San Sebastián's vibrant food scene.

We’ve always had a fascination with the Basque region because of its wealth of incredible produce. As an importer, we’ve spent years forging strong relationships with some Basque producers and have organised many pop-ups to pay homage to their region. These events were always the most popular and fun for us to organise so we’ve decided to make it a regular thing ! We’re now bringing the feel of a bustling San Sebastián local bar to North London.

For this week, and this one only, we have Jamie Allan. Cooking simple product driven cuisine which he gained from working in Paris for Basque chef Inaki Azpitarte. He will be serving Pintxos such as marinated mussels, plates of chickpea and pigs head.

On the wine front, dig through a 250 references list to pair with the food or choose a bottle from our shelves against a small corkage

Jamie is a busy man within the gastronmic world, being one half of the Four Legs, landlord of the Plimsoll and produces his own cider. Topa!

Absolutely delicious Basque food - such a treat to find in London. The wild mushrooms dish is a great dupe of the Ganbara dish in San Sebastian. The quail was beautiful, and I loved the flavours of the brown crab risotto but the risotto grains were slightly underdone. And definitely get the pain perdu, i'm not much of a sweets person but this blew my mind. Great dish. Beautiful, buzzy place to sit with some nice wine and a gilda and have a catch up, which is exactly what we did! Staff are lovely and super knowledgeable.
