From the vibrant streets of Barcelona to the charming villages of Provence, we observed a common thread—people eating & drinking with purpose & intention. It was the beautifully orchestrated symphony of flavors & traditions that inspired us on a deep level.

The ritual of enjoying low ABV bitter aperitifs during "happy hour," savoring wine with dinner, & indulging in digestivos to conclude a meal—all done with a sense of appreciation & respect for the ingredients & flavors of each region.

These experiences laid the foundation for Bar Copa—a place where we celebrate the Mediterranean way of life through simple, ingredient-driven dishes & a curated selection of low ABV aperitifs, wines, craft cocktails, & beers. Excellent experience sitting at the bar. Food was great, pacing was good. Bartender was a bit sour, but that goes with a busy bar. Would recommend to anyone if you want great food, a good atmosphere, and an easygoing experience!

Great food, wine, and cocktails at a reasonable price. Our service was a little slow but not too bad. The place is very noisy especially on the weekend when it is very busy.

We’ve been to Bar Copa several times and absolutely love it! The cocktails and dishes are inventive and delicious! The ambience and aesthetic and amazing and the music is always fun. Roddy, the owner, is so charismatic and enthusiastic about his passion project. Highly recommend!

Bar Copa is a little gem on Johns Island. This was our 4th visit and each time the food, drinks and service have been outstanding. The crudo and tuna tartar are so fresh and tasty. The octopus, crab dip, spicy Caesar salad....yum. The burrata on pear conserva is inspired and marvelous. Crab dip, mushrooms, and shrimp a la plancha are truly delicious. We will return again and again. So happy Bar Copa opened in our neighborhood!

We enjoyed this “new to us” restaurant. All four of us liked our food. I know it’s meant to be “tapas” like food but they might want to expand to more items.
