Great service, mediocre and overpriced food. Crab dip was oversalted and lacked real flavour. Grilled cheese was small and very plain. Calamari special was also very salty, but the Big Mac-esque dipping sauce was good. The sundae was fun and decently worth it. Overall would not recommend and would not return.

Great first visit to Bar Clams! Went for the Monday Happy Hour $2 shucks and also tried the Crab Dip and Lemon Meringue Pie. Loved the food, pie was incredible. I had a really tasty seasonal variation on their sweet tea and my friend had a yummy dirty martini which came with extra brine. Hope to go back and try more soon. Thanks to the team for such a warm welcome!

Justin was a really fantastic host & was super attentive. The interior was beautiful & gave great east coast vibes. The food was good but was surprised to be served a saltine cracker with a $32 crab dip. Overall it was a lovely experience but was much pricer compared to similar experiences in the city.

This was so good. I had a great spot at the counter. The chowder was excellent, the pat of butter made it perfect. The donairs were so well executed and actually great value. Nice little mustard pickle too. 15/10.
My server was attentive he gave me space but was always aware of me. Just go to Bar Clams again and again.

Great dining experience staff was so friendly went on Monday which is happy hour so oysters were a steal at $2 a pop and they were amazing. Lus Basicly half prices drinks all night. Highly recommend, the food was very good not top tier but very good. And the mains are fairly priced but maybe a bit bigger portions for the price. But all in all it was great experience highly recommend.

4 of us, 2 couples, went to Bar Clams for dinner this past Saturday. We knew it was going to be expensive, but we also heard the food was amazing so we were prepared. We were seated at the counter right by the door when it was -15° outside. Personally felt those seats should have been for walk ins, not reservations, so not off to a great start. The cocktail I ordered, for $17, was watered down with huge ice cubes in it. The wine list was very expensive as well, bottles averaging around $90+. We ordered a shrimp cocktail that had 4 large shrimps, so good for sharing, and the crab dip. The crab dip was good, not sure if it was $32 good, but still good. We had heard that the fish and chips were amazing and that Bar Clams had perfected the recipe. It was ‘ok’, and not worth the hype as the French fries were cardboardy and not crispy at all. The 3 of us that ordered the F&C did not finish our plates of that, we were all disappointed. My husband ordered the grilled cheese with a side of peas. We initially laughed at that, but turned out the peas were the highlight of our mains. If the side of peas is better than the $35 fish and chips, something is wrong. Finally for some positive, the service was great the desserts we ordered were delicious. We had lemon meringue pie and the sundae. Our bill was $600. If we had been blown away by the food, we wouldn’t have cared about the cost. But $600 is a lot of money to sit on a stool at a steal counter for mediocre food. Might be back for the sundae, but doubt it.
