I have been a regular patron at the fodder restaurant as Iive close by. I attended for lunch with a friend on Saturday and it was the most appalling service I have had anywhere in a long time. We were left sat at our table for 15 minutes initially where we were not given menus or water. We had to go up to the till to ask to be served. We were also under time pressure and asked what could we order that wouldn't take long, the manager (the only person of the staff in a black shirt) rolled her eyes at me and said eggs and avocado were our only option. I ordered a coffee and a scone, my friend ordered the eggs and avocado. Eggs an avocado were served within 5 minutes, I waited a further 20 minutes for a scone, it arrived at the table 5 minutes before we were due to leave with no apologies. The attitude of the staff was very poor, as was the level of English spoken and understanding our asks. It has massively put me off visiting this restaurant in future,

Always so lovely. Everything tasted great, service was fab and the space is bright, airy and quiet during the week for breakfast.

Excellent brunch experience this morning, I brought my 10 month old baby and the staff were so hospitable and accommodating and provided a small baby portion of food for her. The manager on duty was so helpful and the food was exceptional! We will definitely be back!

We waited 50 Minutes for our food to arrive for brunch today. Very disappointing . In spite of asking to see the manager and asking staff I was abruptly told it was the kitchens problem. If we had been warned the food would be slow there would have been no problem.

Booked at lunchtime so busy enough. 25-30 minutes wait for food. Was chatting with friends so didn’t mind too much but on another day might have been annoying! Had chicken burger - portion size generous but to be honest have tasted better. Chicken a bit soggy and would have expected better. Colleague had caesar salad which was generous portion. Soup was good also.

The restaurant and shop feel v cold , especially as weather gets wintery. I never feel warm and comfortable- the noise of people talking, service is high - there is nothing to cushion the noise - the tile tables add to feeling cold- it looks lovely just feel cold - service vg , some staff smile others drop and go - it’s not a favourite spot

Staff were lovely. Food wasn’t great. My hot chocolate was like a warm milk. I sent it back and it came back even more tasteless.
