    I like Avec on Randolph much better than the one in River North. The restaurant did absolutely nothing to celebrate the new years. I love their bacon wrapped dates, but the rest of the food was a bit disappointing. Our server was very nice. I think the restaurant looks like an old retired bar, because it was. Also, was a very young crowd. I don’t think I would return to this location.

    Place is always spectacular. It may not be the hip new kid on the block, but its who they all should want to be. Its just a never fail winner for great people, great service, great wines, and dishes that are revered. Its the musician's musician equivalent in the Chicago restaurant world.

    Excellent food and service. The hummus with short rib, apple salad and fish was more than enough for 3! Delicious!

    Every dish was exquisite and original (some entirely unique, others fresh takes on familiar things). We were a large group (8 of us). Our server (Graham) was perfectly attentive without being obsequious. An excellent pre-holiday family dinner outing!

    Everything was satisfying. Not only was the food delicious, but it tasted different, so I had a great time. I also had an unforgettable time thanks to the kind staff.
