   Everything was OK. Fairmont always charges a high price for their properties. Their buildings are always beautiful and historic and that’s always the highlight. Everything else, the details, services, etc is always average at best

   Pricey restaurant but food was mediocre at best. Sweetbreads en croute appetizer while reasonably tasty was lukewarm with gloopy gravy and sweetbreads were tough and rubbery. Magret du canard was chewy, fatty, and served as a big block unsliced, with little evidence of its supposed blueberry sauce. The potato bread was very dry. The cod was just ok. We were encouraged by the server when we arrived to go for the $70 + tax pp buffet dinner but for fine dining, buffets are very unappealing and more reminiscent of an all inclusive sun resort. Overall disappointing

    The waiter served me the wrong cut of steak and argued it was the same as two other guests in our party of eight; he also forgot my lobster tail side. Another guest ordered a side of scallops which was also forgotten. Service was extremely slow, receiving our main course almost one hour after ordering. The active restaurant area was not half full.
