   Was happy to return to Argoe during our long weekend in Cornwall after discovering it on holiday last year. It didn’t disappoint and in fact we enjoyed it so much, we followed dinner with a sneaky lunch 2 days later. Food delicious and fresh, particularly enjoyed lemon sole - but we cleared every plate. Position in harbour is special and atmospheric, service friendly and great value for money. Can’t wait to return. Thank you Argoe!

   Excellent restaurant on the harbour front in Newlyn, specialising in fish, and often with unusual types of fish. Great meal, including hake in batter, sardines, leek and monkfish. The unusual fish this time was flounder done in ceviche style, which was amazing. Friendly staff - recommended.

    I was a solo diner at the counter. My sardines and hake were delicious as were the bread and fried potatoes. Super glass of cava and very nice Spanish white wine. I was looked after really well by Frankie who was incredibly knowledgeable. She gave me a taste of the wine to try and advised me on the menu choices. Service was efficient and professional but also friendly and welcoming. This is a tiny little restaurant but the ambience was lively and the other diners friendly too! It’s that sort of place. The view across to the harbour really adds to the fact that you are eating delicious fresh local fish beautifully cooked.
