If life in Belgrade is big party, Angry Monk is the newest, hottest, block party in town. The place is decorated in a homey atmosphere and dominated by a long bar, behind which the cooks do their best out-in-the-open. As far from your typical Sushi place, Angry Monk suggests Japanese and Pan-Asian influenced food. The menu features dishes that are the result of a long and thorough learning process in the land of the rising sun with the local ingredients.     Average food taste, small portions, comparing to alternatives highly overpticed. Server was very kind but obviously lacking skills . Altogether needs much more improvement in order to justify price level and posh wannabe experience.

    Sowohl das Essen (die Rolls sind für mich die besten, die ich bisher gegessen habe) als auch die Cocktails schmecken hervorragend 👍👍👍👍

    We made a reservation for New Years Eve and on the day we were told that they Lost our reservation and that there was only a table outside. We were told that there were blankets an heaters, but when we arrivied there was only one blanket for the three of us and we were no way near a heater. The food was ok, but Nothing special.

    Amazing food & cocktails! Service was great, as well as very helpful staff. Would definitely recommend the eggplant for a starter. Had a great main course with the pork ribs, and the sushi (all of it) was great! We will be back soon :)

    Angry Monk is definitely worth a visit when you find yourself in Belgrade. Start with one of their signature cocktails then you are ready for the taste experience to begin. We enjoyed various dishes and all were excellent, don’t miss the deserts, the crème brûlée is superb! Service is excellent but unobtrusive. The Angry Monk is very close to the Park surrounding the Belgrade Fortress so you can have a pre dinner walk then after dinner walk back to the centre of town, perhaps stopping for a night cap in one of the many bars… angry Monk you are definitely a five star experience.

    This is one of the most unique restaurants in Belgrade! Starting with amazing asian food, phenomenal piece-of-art cocktails and impeccable service, it is definitely one of the places you must visit when in Belgrade. Highly recommend!
