   Service wasn’t great. Waited almost an hour for desserts order to be taken and for it to arrive.

   Highly recommended. Friendly and meticulous service. Outstanding food! Warm atmosphere! Somewhat pricey but worth it ! Great dinning experience!

   Slightly strange if well meant service. Asking for dessert orders at 2140 before mains had arrived as kitchen was closed. So we skipped dessert. Also the 21 rule for alcohol a little annoying as we had our 19 year old son with. This is a UK restaurant not a US bar. Good food.

   Hello Paul, I am sorry to hear that you were not fully satisfied with your visit. My apologies that you were offered desserts before you even had finished your mains. That should have not happened. I will personally investigate why that happened on the day, and make sure that does not happen again. In regards to 21 policy, unfortunately it is our license, that we are an over 21's premises, so we cannot legally serve anyone alcohol under the age of 21.    The food was excellent, and the Beef Wellington was perfectly cooked. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient, making our experience quite enjoyable. The pub's dining room was cozy and charming; however, the bar upstairs was quite noisy, likely due to it being Saturday night. While this slightly affected the ambiance, it didn't detract much from our overall experience.

We do get very busy on Saturday nights, so we would recommend visiting on a week day for a much quieter ambience. But we are glad to hear that that did not ruin you experience.    Veggie starters and sides were amazing but the veggie salad main was quite lacking in flavour. Service was really good.

    Arrived earlier than booking, but was shown to table. Service was brilliant, I was with an elderly relation who was extremely impressed also. Food was great, and served with a smile. Perfect ambience, not too loud so able to have a decent conversation. Thank you for such a lovely afternoon
