We invite you to embark on an immersive dining experience that bridges the rich cultural legacies of Andalucía, Spain, and Puerto Rico. Nestled at the gateway of Old San Juan, within the Alma San Juan hotel, Andaluz celebrates the deep historical ties between these two regions.

Our menu is a tribute to shared history with Moorish influence, blending the bold, sun-drenched flavors of Andalusian cuisine with the vibrant ingredients of Puerto Rico, locally and sustainably sourced. From the prized azafrán of Spain to the comforting sofrito of Puerto Rico, each dish tells the story of a culinary journey rooted in centuries of cultural exchange.

Surrounded by original Puerto Rican artwork and evocative images of Old San Juan and Spanish landscapes, every visit to Andaluz is a celebration of flavors, history, and culture, where the past and present converge seamlessly.

I started with the tomato salad which was amazing. Followed by the braised lamb that is served with chickpeas. I could have had a bowl of just the chickpeas and broth and been happy. Also there Old fashion is amazing and hit the spot. Well made. I preferred the one made with Bulleit Rye rather than Don Q V.O. but both drinks were amazing. I wanted a third to be honest. I will def be back.

We loved our experience at Andaluz, we ordered the croquetas, pulpo, piquillos, as appetizers all delicious. In our table we had the Branzino and the Scallops. Our waitress, Arianna, excellent with her service. Cocktails were great as well. Keep up the good work!

Exquisite and fresh food that truly stands out. Every dish showcased a remarkable level of flavor, with each bite surpassing my expectations. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the meal, and it was clear that only the highest quality ingredients were used. What impressed me most was that many of the ingredients are locally sourced, which made the dishes even more authentic and fresh. The chef’s ability to balance flavors and create a truly memorable dining experience is unparalleled. I would wholeheartedly recommend the entire menu, as each offering is a testament to culinary excellence. Chef José Álvarez is an incredibly talented individual, yet remains humble and approachable, which adds a personal touch to the experience. It is rare to encounter such perfection in both the food and the service this is a restaurant I will undoubtedly return to.

A great new addition to town! We were very impressed—the ambience, flavors, and overall experience were excellent. What makes this restaurant stand out is its unique approach to Spanish cuisine. They incorporate different and uncommon ingredients while still preserving the authentic Spanish flavors. Highly recommended!

Un lugar hermoso, buen servio. Los tragos no eran los mejores, el pulpo estaba delicioso y los scallops. Sin embargo el NY strip con el puré de zanahoria no me impresionó. El postre muy bueno.

Our Andaluz experience was stunning from the moment we walked in. The ambiance is low key and calm. Our server was extremely observant and attentive as well as friendly. I had one of the best cocktails of my life (Sevilla y Tonica)! The menu is exceptional for fine dining - my spouse had the mushroom dish and could not stop talking about it, while I had the scallops. The presentation and flavors are outstanding - be sure to stop and eat with your eyes first, as this food is art! Dessert was the perfect ending to a beautiful evening. We had the opportunity to meet the executive chef, Chef José, which was a first for us! Wonderful experience and we think Andaluz is a must if you are in Old San Juan!
