   My companion ordered a Grey Goose martini. It was terrible. Her red snapper was dry and overcooked. My prime rib was an end cut that was not edible. After 15 minutes a second prime rib was brought after my companion was finished. I refused it since she was finished. The salad was mediocre. We decided to try the dessert. After 15 minutes we decided to leave and asked for the check. Then the dessert arrived. We left. The ambiance was terrible. Our table was crammed between 4 large parties. We we jostled by the waiters. I will never go again to Americans, and will tell everyone to avoid it.

   I was a bit disappointed with the menu choices. I was looking forward to some more seafood options or filet. Beet said was barely dressed, little cheese and very stringy lettuce. The lobster and crab macaroni & cheese had very little shellfish. I have gone to Americana several times on Christmas Eve in the past and I think the previous experiences were far better.

   We came here for dinner prior to seeing the Nutcracker at smith center. Cheryl, our server was attentive and fabulous. Food was delicious and prepared perfectly. I had the steak Diane which was prepared table side by Cheryl. It was amazing. My bf got the halibut and it was seared with perfection. Everything was great!! Absolutely will return.

   Made reservations for a girl’s brunch & unfortunately the entire experience was pretty bad. Ordered a smoked salmon croissant with herbed cheese but they added goat cheese instead, without letting me know nor was it on the menu? And when I asked for it to be replaced, see picture attached as to what was offered. They didn’t bother replacing it or offering to make a change. service was poor. Hostess at the front at a very cold demeanor. Wouldn’t go back nor recommend.

   I’ve ate there many times before but yesterday was the worst meal I’ve ever had there. You need a chainsaw to get through your, “fluffy pancakes?“ Sushi was very mediocre. Not your specialty, take that off your menu. Service was horrible. Our waitress had to be reminded no less than three times for everything we asked for. By the time we got the extra syrup, we were almost done with our meal, same with drinks. Please take the pancakes off your menu or learn how to make them light and fluffy manager came by to ask how things were, I didn’t complain because I was on a first date.  I later apologize to my date for such a horrible meal and reassured her. The food is normally good there. I hope you guys get your act together, remove sushi from your menu and make the pancakes light and fluffy or provide a chainsaw for cutting.

   The Berry Pancakes were very good. Look more like French toast, taste excellent it was topped with fruit and had a puree type berry sauce that was very tasty. The Shrimp and Grits was the best I've had and a decent portion. The bacon and eggs was a a lot of bacon, sausage, small whole potatoes. We enjoyed our meals.

    My only issue was we waited almost 45 minutes between appetizers and main course and watched others get their meals and they came in after us ....
