Amelia Gene’s, Downtown’s finest dining experience, welcomes a contemporary, globally inspired palate artfully designed to impress. Fine wines, classic cocktails, proper bites, and a can’t-miss cheese cart transport diners through a culinary journey with distinct hospitality that can only be found in this state-of-the-art, reclaimed space in Downtown Memphis.

Our menu emphasizes seasonality and a dedication to ingredient-driven preparations. Our Chef's culinary philosophy is characterized by restraint, allowing the innate qualities of the ingredients to eloquently express themselves. Our establishment is located adjacent to the Caption by Hyatt Hotel.

We are proud to offer an extensive wine list thoughtfully curated by our team. Should you wish to bring in a bottle not currently featured on our list, a corkage fee of $25 per bottle will apply, with a maximum of two bottles per party.

    Amazing from the time we opened the door to the last bite of dessert eaten. We took our daughter and 4 friends for her 18th birthday. The service was exceptional and the food was exceptional. We will definitely be back for an adult night and will recommend this establishment to our friends!

    My wife’s favorite restaurant and a great place to take her for her birthday. The three-cheese starter was scrumptious. Your server will guide you through about a dozen different cheeses to make your choices. Then the asparagus and crab soup! Very unique and very delicious. Then, she had the steak and I had the lamb and pasta. Her steak was gorgeous. I think that’s what I’ll get next time. Then they kindly brought us a birthday dessert ice cream and shortcake. A great way to end the meal. We’ll be back

    Our party had the Blackberry Oyster proper bite; Hake Citrus Ceviche, Gulf Prawns, and New England Seafood Chowder starters; Pappardelle pasta; the Prime Filet Mignon, Black Sea Bass, and Claybrook Farms Dry Aged Short Ribs for dinner; and Salted Caramel Creme Brûlée for dessert. The food was absolutely delicious in every way. For drinks the THE FINAL ROSE, SAFFRON & FIG GIMLET, SHADOW WOMAN, and the CXFFEEBLACK OLD FASHIONED cocktails. Everyone raved across the board. Get yourself to Amelia Genes!

    Had a reservation… Seated quickly. Waited 20 minutes for 2 mixed drinks. Our plates were extremely hot and the filet & side hash brown cake were warm - appeared that the food sat under a heat lamp. Cheese board and dessert were great. Overall it was appointing experience, especially at a fine dining spot. Didn’t have this issue with previous visits.

    We did the Thursday night tasting menu and it was well thought out and delicious! I was there celebrating my birthday and they made me feel very special. The wine and cocktail pairings were fantastic!!

    My husband and I had a wonderful dining experience at Amelia Gene’s. From the amazing women tending the bar to the exceptional server, we were treated superbly. I was introduced to a cucumber margarita that was delicious. The roasted chicken was the best we’ve ever eaten and the honey biscuits are not to be missed. Whenever we’re in Memphis, we’ll be dining at Amelia Gene’s.

    The dry aged prime rib was just delicious. The hot&sour monkfish fantastic. Same with the friendly service. Portions not oversized. The wine by the glass quantity below acerage.

    We went for the Taste of Mexico experience and were blown away by the food, drinks, and service. Amelia Gene's is truly outstanding.
