Named one of 20 Best New Restaurants in America for 2024 By Bon Appetit!

In a distant European city, Fabian and Miriam vanished into the Alps, trading their city lives for mountain solitude. Once busy young professionals, their days were consumed by demanding careers, their rare weekends cherished for dining out and dancing, occasionally venturing into the mountains.

But destiny intervened when Miriam inherited her grandfather's Alpine hut, nestled amidst the rustic charms of the mountains. They cut ties with the city, forsaking it for good. Days were spent farming, foraging, crafting cheese, and making wine. Nights brought cooking, baking, wine-drinking, and stargazing.

Friends from the city visited, but Fabian and Miriam never looked back. They were drawn deeper into the mountains, caught in the Alpenrausch's dual meaning—the exhilaration of mountain air and the intoxication of good company, fine wine, and schnapps.

El servicio deja mucho que desear, recibiendo una mala bienvenida de la hostess y no nos levantaban los platos sucios. Te cobraban el 20% de propina de una a más personas y un adicional de wellness de servicio que no es obligatorio pero no te preguntan.

Food was delicious! Unlike anything we’ve tried in a while! We were here on Valentine’s Day so it was busy. The valentines tasting courses took a while in between dishes but they were well worth the wait. Would definitely recommend to anyone! Next time we will call ahead for the pre planned tasting menu because that looked fantastic too!

We dined here for Valentine’s Day, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The restaurant seemed understaffed and unprepared for the occasion, which impacted both the service and overall atmosphere. For $75 per person, we expected a more satisfying meal, but the portions were extremely small—we left still feeling hungry. The service was also painfully slow. It took two hours to get through the pre-fixed menu, with about 30 minutes between each course. Since the courses were tiny, this just left us hungrier as we waited. The fondue at least came with a good amount of things to dip, but everything else was just a few bites at a time. The fondue itself was also a letdown. It seemed like it should have been the star of the meal based on the menu, but it had a grainy texture and an overpowering beer flavor that didn’t seem properly cooked off. On the bright side, the ham hock was delicious, and the desserts were a standout. Everything else was just okay—not bad, but nothing particularly memorable. Overall, for the price, the experience didn’t feel worth it. While there were a couple of high points, the slow service, inconsistent quality, and tiny portions make it hard to justify a return visit.

The food and ambience was great. we had a 7pm reservation and received our drinks within reason, but then sat for a good amount of time before we were able to order food. We ordered a salad and fondue to share and a couple glasses of wine. the salad and wine arrived promptly. our salad dish was cleared and then we waited over 25 minutes for fondue to arrive. It finally did at 8:30. That was disappointing as we were just sitting there with empty wine glasses for far too long. We had to eat the fondue very quickly as we had a show to get to. Overall disappointing as we felt ignored and possibly our fondue order was not put into the queue in a timely manner.

We selected the yeasted rolls, the jagerschnitzel, and the kasespatzle. All three were truly excellent. Service was warm and friendly, and the ambiance was cozy and inviting. We can't wait to return.

Good looking place with a thoughtful menu and concept. The service was excellent, the food was really good! The Schnapps flight was a fun addition to our meal.
