Allen's is reminiscent of a New York City saloon from ages past. The tin ceiling, the wood floors and the cozy old bar make it an experience in itself. Yet Allen's also has a fabulous menu that is sure to inspire and delight.

With more than 300 kinds of whisky, more than 100 wines and over 140 beers, it will satisfy your need for liquid refreshment.     Although the food was good, I found things inconsistent with a pleasurable experience. A burger should not be a la carte and should include things like fries or salad, condiments (no condiment came with mine and none was offered). Not sure if it actually is made this way but it appeared the pizza came on a pre-made crust. The service was exceptional and our server was excellent.

    Allen's is a favourite place to meet with my girlfriends. We live on opposite sides of the city, and we can always rely on the delicious food, excellent service and lively atmosphere! Make sure to try their thick cut fries- they're some of the best in the city. We always order one for the table to share.

    The 2 hour table limit came as a surprise. No notice on reservation, and no indication when we checked in. What made it worse was that one of our party arrived early and that started the clock. I'm fine with a table limit, just be up front about it.
