Formerly the Georgian Dower House of the Northerwood Estate built in 1820 and used as a hunting box by King George IV, the restaurant new chic interior is complete with walnut tables, potted plants, interesting fabrics and contemporary artwork, creates a warm and inviting space for a casual dining experience.

A fantastic afternoon tea. Great food and drink ( loved the white chocolate mousse ) Every member of staff that served us were so friendly. A lovely setting as well. Very pleased. Thank you

Friendly accommodating staff. Food good too much but boxes provided to enable us to take home cake and scones. Very enjoyable.

The selection of sandwiches and cakes etc was good, but considering there were only a couple of sittings we felt that the food had been sitting around a while when some of the preparation could have been left until the last minute so the food felt fresher. For example, small pastry tart had obviously been cut in half and crusts cut off sandwiches a good while earlier.

Lovely food, nice, varied selection. Very friendly staff who regularly replaced our teapot! Really lovely afternoon with friends, and we didn't feel rushed even after sitting, chatting and eating for 3 hours!
