Afternoon Tea will be served in our beautiful Orangery, Sumptuously decorated in shades of silver, copper and chocolate, with floor to ceiling lunette windows and a glass roof ceiling providing the perfect setting for you to enjoy the deliciousness of Afternoon Tea.
What better way to spend an hour or two with friends?
Served every afternoon, you can choose a traditional or prosecco tea, all presented with a selection of delicate finger sandwiches, exquisite cakes on a three-tier stand and, of course, a fine selection of teas and coffees.
For a luxurious touch, why not choose our champagne tea served with a glass of Balbirnie House champagne.
We are delighted to announce a special introductory offer of £14.95 per person for traditional Afternoon Tea or if you are feeling especially indulgent why not upgrade to champagne Afternoon Tea @ £18.95 per person.

Very nice afternoon tea, well served by pleasant and efficient staff. For most of the time, the background music was quiet instrumental, it did how every change to vocal which did not seem appropriate. (Appreciate difficulty in pleasing all!)

I took my mother in law as a Christmas treat this week. I am coeliac, so called ahead to ensure I could be catered for with no fuss. We both had a lovely time in a chilled atmosphere. My afternoon tea was just as delicious and delightfully presented as my non coeliac guest's was! We loved the beautiful setting of this lovely hotel and we could hear each other in conversation! The tables have space between, so you don't feel you encroach on other guest's space. Service was pleasant and not over intrusive. Refills of hot drinks were regularly offered. We were both delighted at our experience in Balbirnie House.

Booked for a special birthday , great afternoon a couple of times had to reask the waiter for tea etc as had been forgotten apart from that lovely afternoon.

Unfortunately there was a wedding fayre on the day we went so parking was a nightmare. The hotel was busy with people constantly being shown into the orangery, and our table was right at the door. I'd prefer a better selection of cakes too. Service ok, no one came back to check on us though, had to catch a waitress to ask for more tea/coffee.

Had an enjoyable experience. We were given a voucher from our daughter for our 30th Wedding Anniversary in June. Unfortunately it would have expired when we wanted to use it as the hotel was fully booked. Thankfully Balbirnie House extended it. Afternoon tea was served in the Orangery which is lovely and peaceful. Service was excellent as was the food, with copious amounts of tea or coffee much to my husband’s delight. It was a wonderful treat to have in January.
