   The menu was creative and showcased the chef’s talents. It was our second visit and was a special night. The waitstaff was attentive a knowledgeable. Lucky to have a restaurant in this area.

   Terrific food, OK service, terribly loud. Go early, it gets crowded the later you go.

   Sorry I know I’m supposed love this place and the food but the steak was barely warm and not cooked the way I asked. The potatoes were also barely warm. The carrots were hot. They charged for everything including refills and the waitress we had didn’t tell us anything about specials or recommendations but the table behind us got the full Spiel about the menu. All in all a disappointing experience and I won’t be back.

   Such a wonderful surprise. 1870 was recommended by a friend and we went there in my birthday. Caroline, our waitress, was super nice and attentive. The food was delicious. We both had filet mignon. My husband had the lobster bisque and I had the butternut squash soup. Both were amazing! Food presentation was superb. Excellent restaurant for special occasions!!

   Delightful service and wonderful company made for a memorable evening. Beautiful setting! Parking is challenging when there is a church service.

   First time dining here with my colleague after a very long day at work! We had great service provided by Iva & Scott upstairs in the bar area. They both were very personable and took the experience to the next level. Jakob also did a great job checking in with tables and making sure they had everything they needed. Drinks and dinner were fabulous! I will definitely be returning in the near future ◡̈ (the espresso martinis are fire)

   My fillet mignon was perfection with the garlic sauce. The hanger steak which we have never had before was rich , very tender with a hint of sweet. The chocolate tart was excellent

   Beautiful restaurant. Excellent cocktails. The oysters were fantastic. The duck was cooked perfectly and delicious. Great service and very nice atmosphere.
