   Alex always gives such outstanding service. He is so friendly and attentive. Our food was also outstanding! The restaurant is so beautifully decorated for the Christmas Season. We always have a special and wonderful dining experience at 1776!

   Second time to the restaurant. Did not disappoint. Food excellent, waiter entertaining and efficient. Never felt rushed, even though it was a very busy evening.

   The barrel cut steak was very tender but firm and seasoned with delicious spices. First time having this but it won't be the last. My husband had the filet and he was very happy with that. Baked potatoes were huge and perfectly baked. Mixed vegetables were seasonal and happily, not overcooked. No room for dessert. We would have brought home a piece of coconut cake but sadly, it was not available. Alex was our server and he did a wonderful job, as usual. All staff works as a team so the service is attentive in every way. We were eating early so we did not have a chance to listen to much of the piano music but what we did have time for was very relaxing and enjoyable. All in all, a special evening for my husband's 90th birthday. This is a wonderful restaurant for any special occasion.

    The only negatives would be no waiting area. We had a 7:30 reservation and waited for 20 minutes. Then our waiter was pulled away for an emergency so I sat with my baked potato getting cold without butter or sour cream for over 15 min before requesting from someone else. The manager more than made up for it though and comped our drinks and dessert. Wonderful food and definitely will go back.
