We enjoyed this restaurant for dinner after the Christmas light show at Chicago Botanical Gardens in Glencoe. Was nearby location. Though our reservation was 7:15, we arrived early about 6:30 and the hostess was very accommodating in seating us after a short wait.My husband said his voted #1 in Chicago hamburger was great and my wild rice and mushroom burger was very tasty. Loved my lighter Cabernet. Squash soup and pumpkin pie after was just ok. Nice ambiance. Our waiter was pleasant and efficient. Would recommend this restaurant.

Underwhelming. Service was lacklustre. Server kept saying they were coming back in one minute but left us hanging for much longer. Took us 40 min to put in an entree order. Guests who arrived 20 min later than us got their entrees before we even had a chance to order. Only received an excuse from the server at the end of our meal (that it was busy). No one wished me a happy birthday. Food was just okay. Ordered the burger and the bun came untoasted. Really? Couldn’t butter it or anything? Okay. Had the crispy half chicken. Realized I could’ve made it at home. Was expecting a lot more for a $34 dish. Wow what a disappointing meal. Things have gone down in quality in the past 10 ish years. Fried (but actually red) green tomatoes were tasty. Decor was nice. The women’s bathroom sink was really really dirty. Just in shock. Couldn’t pay me to come back

Hands down one of our top 3 restaurants in the area. The chicken cutlets are fantastic. The service is very attentive, super friendly, it’s also a warm, clubby atmosphere for being such a large space. Fresh ingredients, not over done food. The baked feta, deviled eggs, beet salad, burger, literally everything is great! It’s a wine place, but I drink cocktails-the Bloody Mary and airplane are solid.
