Join us at Port on March 29th for a night of laughs and tunes! We're opening the night with 2 hilarious comedians - Jake Gallos & a special guest - starting at 7:30pm. Followed by some Rock 'n' Roll at 8:30pm from your favorite brothers: the Ashe Brothers! 🕺🎶🕺🎤 SATURDAY March 29th 7:30 pm Brothers Conor and Ryan Ashe discovered the magical and rad ways of rock n roll music at the age of 12. Through the mystical spirals of their musical journey, they picked up a multitude of sonic influences ranging from classical to jam, psychedelic to Americana, prog to alternative rock. It was then that the lightning bolt struck, and they had an epiphany. Music was their calling. And they were going to answer one way or another. They decided that the purpose of their band, Ashe Brothers would be to bridge the gap, not only among people of all kinds, but among music of all genres as well; ultimate inclusiveness. These brothers never gave up on their dream to pursue their passion. With such a degree of diligence and drive, they have landed several great opportunities and worked with some of the finest musicians in the business. Their vocal precision and harmonic mastery procured them a gig covering for Art Garfunkel in Chicago when a blizzard grounded him in his hometown of New York City. Their eclectic knowledge and appreciation of the psychedelic 60's awarded them an opening slot as a four-piece rock band for the legendary Jefferson Starship. They tackled the scene in Chicago then shipped their ambitions half way across the country to the rough and tumble entertainment capital of Los Angeles. Although they've gained tons of experience, their journey is just beginning. Keep up with them and join the Ashehole family! They'd love to meet you on the run sometime! 🔗 Ashe Brothers Official Website 🔗 https://ashebrothers.com/

One of the worst dining experiences my wife I have ever had. I'm 56, we go out to eat 2-3 times a week and have for 20 years ... you do the math. When we first walked in, we thought people were smoking in the restaurant because the smell of smoke was so overpowering. We should have just left then but we didn't. Service was terrible. Matched only by how bad the food was. We ordered a glass of wine that finally made it to the table when our entrees did. We ordered a side dish which never showed up to the table...but did show up on the bill. The desserts must have been store-bought bulk. Maybe a Costco special--one bite was enough. We figured out the smoke smell was the owner/maître d. The smell of smoke on him was so overpowering it was clear he was smoking any time he disappeared into the kitchen or out to the front. He dropped our desserts off and actually had a cigarette and lighter in his hand. It was so bad our eyes were watering. Our clothes stunk of cigarettes so badly we left our coats in the garage when we got home. It was like being in Europe in the 80s. We watched the table next to us sit for 20-30 minutes without even being greeted. They finally left. Oh--and they added 20% gratuity to the bill (for a table of 2), never said anything, and had a tip line included on the bill for additional tip. I wonder how many people double tipped ... The guy playing guitar was great though! So, if you like crappy food, crappy service and love the smell of cigarettes permeating your food and clothes this is the place!

The Valentine’s Day set menu was overly expensive for what you got. The food was great just bad value. The live music was fantastic. We felt abused when we saw an $8 fee to use a credit card and an 18% automatic tip on the total. Unfortunately, We will not be returning.

Another great dining experience at the Port Restaurant. It's one of those best kept secrets inside Corona del Mar. Good food, good service and a good band. The staff is welcoming and the food is great. Can't ask for more.

Had Christmas dinner last night with my boyfriend. Amazing service and ambience at the restaurant. Hostess Taylor was all smiles great, greeted us promptly. Maya was our personable server and bartender making us beautiful drinks and mock-tails too. The food big portions and delicious. The owner Ali went to all the tables checking on us to see how our experience was. The live music was the cherry on top with George Fryer and his band. Been playing there 12 years. We originally had reservations at Sol they had an hour wait even with our reservation and it was too loud at the restaurant so we came here last minute and are so glad we did. This is our new favorite place. Highly recommend and supporting a small business that’s been around for 17 years makes us extra happy to be a part of helping out. Will be telling all our friends about this hidden gym.

Great place to eat. Enjoyed our meal. It wasn't too crowded and the hostess/waitress and others were very attentive. Overall a good pick.

To watch Jimmy Hopper a $20/person was added to bill. Which would be fine if they told you in advance. A credit card fee was attached. It’s been 3-4 years since we’ve been there. Maybe a change of ownership or management. Bring a couple wallets, you’ll need it.

I love the Port Restaurant! Cool place to hang out and enjoy food, drinks, friends, conversation. We usually come early around 5:30pm then walk around the corner to the New Port Theater to watch a movie. Always enjoy the food, service and ambiance of the restaurant. However, since we always arrive early, we're usually the first or second customers and it seems that every time, the staff turns up the recorded music very loud. The food and drinks are still good, we still enjoy our friends, but the music is so loud we can't hear each other talk. Makes absolutely no sense to have the music that loud when there's only customers at one or two tables. Of course, we always ask staff to turn the music down, and they do. But, why should we have to ask? Anyway, I highly recommend the Port Restaurant.
