   I had an incredible time at Porfirio’s Cancún! The atmosphere was vibrant, the music created such a fun vibe, and the service was top-notch. The food was great, flavorful and nicely presented. What really made the night special was the amazing service from Ivanna and Mauro. They were so kind, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. Definitely a memorable evening, and I’d love to come back!

   Always the best meal and best environment in Cancun during our annual vacation. The staff are very attentive and made our grandson’s birthday extra special. Thank you to the supervisors who kept everyone moving and were very attentive to our needs. From spicier salsas, extra grated cheese for the pasta to the phenomenal meal recommendations… our friends and ourselves definitely voted last nights dinner at Porfilio’s as the next of the entire trip…

   At the beginning of her meal, the service was very attentive, almost to the point of being excessive. But then, once we had placed our order, the service went downhill significantly. The staff brought us our appetizer, salad, and entrée all at the same time. And did not give us any of the same descriptions / presentation that they gave to nearby tables. They then proceeded to ignore us completely for one hour, while we tried in vain to order our dessert and get our check. It was a frustrating experience that went on far too long.

   We had an amazing time at Porfirio’s! The energy throughout the restaurant was lively and the music was great, too. The service was quick and attentive, and the food was incredible. We had a wonderful time and will hopefully be back soon!

   Our favorite Mexican restaurants in Cancun have moved or closed, so we went to Porfirios. We had been before and had good experiences…not great, but good. We had the avocado salad and chicken enchiladas suiza….all of it was very good. But enchiladas originally arrived cold. Had to send back to have them return warm(er). They still could have been hotter but it wasn’t worth mentioning. Margaritas were also good. Service was trying, but there were so many people it was hard to give personalized service. Very disappointed that we could get real menus…had to order off a QR code which felt like a sports bar or low end food chain. We were offered dessert since our food was cold. The ice cream was delicious, but a little hard to eat out of the table “ice cream truck.” In my opinion this restaurant is more about show than food & service. SO many carts offering table side “food entertainment.” It’s distracting and feels a bit like a circus. Did I mention we were offered scorpions by the “tequila” cart? That was down right bizarre. I think the decor was beautiful and I enjoy the 80’s music vibe. It is a bit louder so if that’s not your thing stick with Harry’s or Fred’s. Much better food and service there too. IMHO

    Without a doubt, this was one of the best dining experiences my family and I have ever had. From start to finish, everything was exceptional—impeccable service, incredible food, and an unforgettable atmosphere. Our servers, Alex and Isaac, were outstanding—friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and made the evening so much fun. Alex’s recommendations, especially the seabass and shrimp dishes, were spot on and absolutely delicious. We enjoyed a stunning sunset view, lively music, and a staff that went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The ambiance was just perfect. And the desserts? Incredible! From the creamy ice cream and decadent chocolate cake to the churros, every bite was amazing. To top it all off, they surprised our two birthday girls and the entire family with something special. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Cancun—it’s a must-visit!
