The front end manager handling reservations on a busy Friday night was so nice and accommodating. He even brought my jacket over to the table that I left at the bar. Service was a bit slow but understandable as it was busy. The food was good, such large servings! Next time, I’ve got to try the Regina pizza!

Unfortunately, this will be my last review. My husband and I have been going to Polcari’s once a week for 27 years. We have had family functions there and celebrated many family birthdays there. The past couple of years due to management changes we have seen a shift. Due to our regularity, the long time servers are like family. We have watched those loyal and hard working people go one by one or be pushed to leave. You may have the very best pizza but our family and close friends will learn to live without it. It’s the customer service and relationships made that make the experience special. They can’t keep a third manager and every week it seems like knew servers because they can’t keep help. Wake up management! You’ve lost over a dozen customers this time.

Food was wonderful! I had the chicken scarparelli (spelling?) which was absolutely fantastic. All four of us at the table were delighted with their food.

Our server, Rose, was excellent! I really enjoyed the Braised Short Rib Ravioli in a creamy white mushroom sauce, paired with a delicious Caesar salad (with anchovies, please). The serving wasr 2 meals, and the flavors were perfect. Meanwhile, my wife ordered the Grilled Chicken with broccolini, which was also very good and provided enough for anothe large enough for meal at home.

We specifically went to Polcari’s to get their chicken fra diavolo and they don’t offer it any longer. In fact, their menu was downsized and quite a few meals they no longer offer such as the shrimp fra diavolo, chicken cavatapi, chicken soltimbocca, mussels and a few others. If it wasn’t for our fabulous waitress, Jennifer, we would have left. She was professional, friendly and accommodating. I got the grilled chicken salad because there was nothing on the menu I liked. They use to have a big menu with quite a few different options. Along with their lousy menu, the atmosphere has changed. It looks like a bar inside not the Italian ambiance of an iconic Italian Restaurant. If I wanted a bar type restaurant, I’d go to the Yard House. I saw 2 other parties sit down, then all of a sudden they got up and left. I heard they weren’t happy with the menu either.

Whenever we are in the area we try to catch a bite and beverage here. Good food and great atmosphere. They did some remodeling and opened it up while keeping the original style. If you're in the area, plan to stop by. You'll be glad you did.
