Best Mediterranean Restaurants in San Ysidro

Great wine selection coupled with a knowledgable staff about the wines is always a great recipe to start dinner. I continue to vist CUCINA locations for the qualtiy and consistency.

Imaginative food well prepared, great wines, excellent service, but some items rather pricey for the size, and very loud.

The food was above average. I didn’t go with the set 6 course meals. There were 2 of them, but both had too many items I don’t like. I got the duck medium well. A bit chewy in spots, but it was mostly tender. The rock shrimp was like fried oysters. Kind of slimy with a fried outer breading. The rock shrimp sauce was good (like chili aioli). As much as I heard great things from this restaurant in TJ, it fell slight below my expectations. But it’s a great place to take a date. It’s hard as hell to find when the uber driver drops you off.

Amazing meal, start to finish. Each course was perfectly executed.

insideOUT was such a cool and fun experience! I would love to stay in the “oasis” part of the restaurant next time instead of at a standard table, but regardless the ambience was wonderful and the food was even better! So cute and lively for a fun brunch vibe and service was also amazing.
