- MMICHAELVIPNew York City •170 reviews4.0Dined on Mar 4, 2025DeMeo's is a cut above the typical neighborhood Long Island Italian restaurant. It has a broad menu of the traditional Italian dishes but always has several specials that go outside the bounds of pure Italian. Listen carefully to the night's choices. Bread and focaccia are brought quickly and the olive oil on the table is not peppery but relatively mild. A few olives and pieces of cheese are also complimentary. I often have fried zucchini at other Italian restaurants (or even Bryant and Cooper) but not here; way too thin to even identify as zucchini. Main courses are large and I always seem to have a second dinner of leftovers. Servers are very careful with packing to avoid leaks (something not all restaurants care about. I haven't been here on a weekend or holiday but I can imagine if full the tables are a bit too close. Getting to lavatories requires a steep climb to second floor and steps are narrow. WATCH IT. For mer, not a go to for special occasions but good food and plenty of options on a weekday night.More infoTrattoria DiMeoPrice: Very Expensive• Italian• Roslyn•4.8
