AA 2 Rosette restaurant. The Forge Restaurant in Chester is one of Chester’s best restaurants with delicious food and unrivalled service. The Forge has its kitchen front and centre in the middle of this lovely, and elegant space. Incredible dry-aged beef and wild venison will be found in the maturation cabinets, awaiting their turn on the amazing forge grill, to be lovingly grilled and roasted over beech logs. Head chef Dan Regan, a passionate chef, heads up the young, vibrant team in the kitchen. Combining amazing, wild, sustainable ingredients from land and sea into sumptuous creations that form really memorable eating experiences. We focus on British ingredients, as local to Chester. Our venison, always a hugely popular part of our menus, is harvested from herds on estates that focus on improving biodiversity and deer health – a process we call Farming the Wild.

    An amazing afternoon tea with champagne, excellent variety of food, well presented and served by friendly and knowledge staff. The whole experience was unrushed and a real treat for any occasion. Discovered the afternoon tea experience by chance and would strongly recommend the Forge restaurant advertises it much more. We will return without a doubt.

    Excellent food with bags of flavour beautifully presented. Staff were attentive and polite. Good value with the drinks included. Only feedback would be to space out the courses more and explain what each dish is. Definitely will go back as really good experience

    Went to celebrate an 80th birthday. All 4 of us enjoyed our meals, which were delicious. Had very attentive service by our server, Chris, who was very pleasant, respectful and gave us excellent customer service: even noticed the 80th birthday card and presented the 'birthday girl' with a Happy Birthday plate of ice cream and csnt floss,made her night. Thank you Chris.

    A relaxing atmosphere, the restaurant itself is lovely, the staff were very professional and the service excellent and the quality of the food and the presentation was very good.We have stayed in the hotel many times and usually eat in the restaurant.
