- GGlynisLondon •4 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoBrilliant service from delightful waiting team and the food was outstanding Beef carpaccio with all the trimming and sautéed scallops with a delightful light curry sauce made a perfect starter And we had Brancaster mussels for our main course in a white wine sauce . Big fat and juicy with chunky chips crisp outside and fluffy inside. Not forgetting a flowery gooseberry Sauvignon from NZ. Perfection And the classic lemon tart to conclude We have to return!More infoThe White Horse - Brancaster StaithePrice: Expensive• British• Brancaster Staithe•4.6

- RRichardLondon •2 reviews4.0Dined 3 days agoThere was a small menu but all dishes were well cooked and ingredients were fresh. Staff were all really welcoming and friendly. Surroundings were a little off putting at first and we weren’t sure if we had made a good choice of venue but as soon as the food arrived we realised we had.More infoStiffkey Red LionPrice: Moderate• Gastro Pub• Wells-next-the-Sea•4.4

- TTimothyLondon •5 reviews4.0Dined on Nov 13, 2024This is a small country pub that offers quality food as well as overnight stays. We sat in the rear restaurant with table service. Our waiting staff were both very charming and knowledgeable. The menu has some pub classics mixed with some more varied dishes. I chose the pie of the day, which was a beef hotpot with a potato lid, pesto baby potatoes and stir fried leafy veg. A well presented and tasty meal. However the baby potatoes were undercooked and the beef strips slightly chewy, but still enjoyable. For dessert I had the spiced apple and rice pudding crumble. A very tasty novel take on a fruit crumble. I particularly like a bit of stodge in my puddings so this was very much up my street. One issue we had was with the menus. On sitting down at the table we were given the evening menu with the drinks list. On the table there was also a list of events which mentioned the Norfolk Restaurant Event. We asked the waiter about this and were told that there was a separate menu for the event which we were then given. It was a pared down set price version of the main menu. The items I had chosen were on this set menu. Also when the bill came I had to remind the waiter that I had had the set menu. If the venue is going to advertise that it's taking part in a special offer event then it should not be hiding it from the customers. Overall a pleasant meal but could easily have been so much better.More infoThe Golden FleecePrice: Moderate• Pub• Wells-next-the-Sea•3.5
