Best Restaurants for Groups in Lenwade

The Lodge is our “local” and since its revamp it is our first choice when eating out with friends and family. We are always made to feel welcome, staff are friendly, and service, no matter how busy, is mostly pretty good. The Menu choice is excellent-we’ve eaten some pretty special, new to us, dishes. If we have negative is that portions are too generous no matter which menu we choose from, and that includes the Children’s Menu! A big Thank-you to all at the Lodge.

Went there for Sunday Roast yesterday and it was excellent as always. Great Sunday lunch with generous portions , freshly cooked food, great customer service and lovely surroundings. It continues to be our ‘go to’ place to eat and cannot recommend Parson Woodforde highly enough.

The best dinner in ages. Every course was delicious. The Parmesan butter with the sourdough, I could have eaten that for seconds. The lasagne lived up to the hype, the garlic bun was crisp and so garlicky and rocket salad was simple but the perfect side. Yum. I hate tiramisu but decided to try it and I’m so glad I did as it was perfect along with the chocolate sorbet. Loved the little venue and the staff were all welcoming. Wished the deli was open when we came as I’d definitely have been taking some bits home with us.

Lovely experience. We had the Peter Pan afternoon tea and it was delicious! We also loved the added touch that £1 per afternoon tea is donated to St Ormond Street Hospital! The display was lovely with lots of fun details. We went on Valentine’s Day and it wasn’t too loud or crowded. We were celebrating a birthday and we received a birthday card and a little chocolate treat with a candle in on the arrival of our tray. Staff were polite and attentive. Highly recommend.

Charming property, lovely ambience, with a real fire giving off a welcoming glow. The staff were friendly, the service was very good. The menu included some lovely sounding dishes. I had the pan roasted chicken, my husband had the Buck Burger. Both dishes were well presented and delicious. The biscoff cheesecake was also very nice. Would definitely recommend and we will definitely return.
