Best Restaurants for Afternoon Tea in Chobham

We had a lovely afternoon tea at the Orchid Room. The staff were very attentive and looked after us well with many tea pot refills! The food was delicious with a varied selection of sandwiches and beautiful cakes. Definitely a special treat in fabulous surroundings.

Consistently good food and service and the decor is just amazing

I was rather dubious about booking a meal, after reading other reviews, but we had nothing to fear! Excellent service, we were asked if we wanted water, still or sparkling, we ordered drinks, arrived within 5 minutes. Ordered starters arrived within 8 minutes, they were really tasty, black pudding Bon Bon’s . The mains arrived slow cooked belly of pork and chicken tikka masala both cooked and presented beautifully, especially the naan ! The staff were attentive without being in your face, I personally do not like being ask if everything is alright why I have a mouthful of food, we did not feel rushed. If we are in the area again we will definitely stay and dine here. Breakfast was also excellent, great choice

Food and service incredible

I asked for a pint of bitter snd no one knew what that meant and then I asked what larger they had and they couldn’t tell me despite the bar having many, when I spotted a bottle of Doombar I was offered ice with it? I was shown to the wrong table. I asked for a brandy and coke and and was asked what type and said I didn’t mind. There response was, I don’t know what brandy is and she really didn’t. A black Woman arrived and understood and was excellent and clearly had at least one else worked in a bar at some point.
