Best Dog Friendly Restaurants in Ongar

Love this pub great food and varied menu. Lovely staff had excellent Lasagne dish and my husband had the Iberico pork chop which he really enjoyed. Will definitely be back again.

Lovely pub with extremely friendly staff, a great menu and delicious food. We had a lovely meal today for my son’s birthday. We received great service from beginning to end. They kindly turned the heating up for us, and made a cocktail for us which was not on the menu- in fact nothing was too much trouble. We all enjoyed our food which we felt was good value for money. We’ll definitely visit again.

Great food, great service. I’ve been in plimsoll before because their burger. I couldn’t come back with some friends to let them try it too. We got 5 burgers but at the end we ordered 3 more with extra cheese and at the end they were even better. My friend was looking for bacon but for me the crunchiness of meat was enough. Very good balance of flavours. I tried many burgers but probably this is the best in London. I was a bit sad realising they removed the green salad with walnuts from the menu cuz it was really good but I understand can be because the seasonal changes etc. Another must to try are the potatoes with aioli. We also got other dishes but I would say these 2 were the best. The pub was full but the service was fast. The kitchen is not big but they are very organised. Same with table service, we had some requests and the blonde girl who served us was really nice and patient haha I forgot to asked her name for the mention Overall a great experience! Thank you guys!

Lovely atmosphere, polite and friendly staff, no sticky table. The food was delicious including vegan options and staff were able to cope with my food allergies. I would recommend

Excellent service, food and ambience - really lovely evening in a pod. Restaurant was really really helpful when we asked to increase the booking from 6 to 7. Only downside is the cost!
