- RRoyceLondon •1 review5.0Dined 4 days agoThis is positioned as Japanese street food, so a small crowded space is in keeping with what one should expect. I've been four times now, and I've enjoyed every dish. Last night we sat directly across from the chef, so we saw the food being prepared. It's done with care and precision. I really enjoy this place. The service was efficient, so we had no trouble making it to the IMAX in time for a film after dinner.More infoOkan South BankPrice: Moderate• Japanese• Waterloo•4.5
- KKathleenSan Francisco Bay Area •12 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoOutstanding food, service, ambiance. Classic British food, nose to tail, simply but exquisitely prepared. We started with olives and roasted bone marrow, a favourite we order whenever possible, and this was the best we’ve ever had. Accompanying parsley salad was flavourful crunchy and fresh, perfect accompaniment along sourdough toast. For mains we shared grey mullet, grilled shorthorn, white asparagus, green salad and a sublime braised mutton. Everything was superb and we were quite full but couldn’t resist dessert. Both the lemon posset and date loaf with butterscotch sauce were incredible and we ate every last bit. Service was low key excellent and very helpful as we ordered wine by the glass having over imbibed over the weekend and server recommendations were perfect.More infoSt. JOHN SmithfieldPrice: Very Expensive• British• Farringdon•4.8
- LLeonieLondon •1 review5.0Dined 6 days agoFabulous location, service and food. The restaurant gave us an earlier booking after I rang (following our online booking). The dining room has beautiful lighting and views across the Thames. We were served by 4 attentive staff (drinks, food, order and a visit by the maître dee who were all professional, welcoming and efficient. Our first mains dish was served to our plates at our table by a staff member. Steaming hot soup lids were removed by staff on serving. Beautiful table service but not fussy.More infoPeacock LondonPrice: Very Expensive• Chinese• Lambeth•4.2
- MMalcolmLondon •1 review4.0Dined on Oct 10, 2024The meal was very nice and the service was good, however, and I accept that waitresses are there to see more, but we were told that the side orders were only small and not enough for two persons and we there ordered a second one. When they arrived this was not the case and one would have been enough, and we therefore left half of each, my question is, why lie to us?More infoBrasserie JoelPrice: Expensive• Contemporary French• Waterloo•4.1
