Having spent years supplying London’s top restaurants through their separate wine businesses, Joe Haynes and Benedict Butterworth have joined forces with Tom Hurst, who has worked at Brawn, The Marksman, Levan, and most recently as Head Chef at Lasdun, to launch the trio’s first restaurant together.Located in a Grade II listed building on Cloth Fair, Cloth Restaurant is part of a historic row of buildings in the City of London that survived the Great Fire of 1666. Down this atmospheric alley opposite St Bartholomew church, Cloth is taking over a double fronted corner site that’s beneath the former home of poet John Betjeman and next door to the two oldest residential buildings in London. Inside, low ceilings, wood floorboards with antique wall lights and artwork create a cosy, intimate atmosphere, while marble tables, long dark wood banquettes, antique crockery and cutlery will create the feel of a classic bistro.

The Ivy restaurant has been a firm fixture on London’s dining and social scene since 1917. The restaurant and private room upstairs are the epitome of real glamour. A shimmering central dining bar in the restaurant draws admiring attention, and the signature harlequin stained-glass windows, oak panelling and striking contemporary art collection ensure the longevity of this very British of dining institutions. Executive Chef Gary Lee creates balanced seasonal menus, featuring Ivy classics, but accounting for today’s tastes, incorporating more Asian dishes, salads and vegetables, and the advent of a “sea and shells” section. Director Fernando Peire leads a strong and experienced team to deliver the unfaltering service for which The Ivy has become well known over the years. The Ivy welcomes customers without reservations at the central dining bar, where the A La Carte and Set menus are both served.

The Fox & Pheasant is a little “country” pub tucked away in a small corner of Chelsea. The pub was founded in 1846 and it began its life as the Bedford Arms. Ten years later it changed to the Prince of Wales and in 1965 became The Fox & Pheasant and we have no intention of changing its name again! Not only are we a snug pub in the winter with 3 fire places, a dartboard and dog biscuits for the well behaved companions (dogs)! We are lucky enough to be able to wind back our roof in the conservatory for those long summer lunches to. Alongside our a la carte menu we have a bar snack menu that not only runs all day, everyday but also contains such pub classics. Roasts run all day on a Sunday and we guarantee to make sure you will always have ample spuds, gravy and yorkies!

Wonderful ambience, great service and food was delicious. We had the cheese soufflé, butternut squash soup to start, Goose and Turkey Shepherds Pie, haddock and chips and risotto for our main courses. Friendly service and we were in and out in an hour and a half, in time for a theatre matinee at 2pm.

I love this restaurant. It has all the feel of a simple trattoria down to the black and white photos of Italy and Early 60's romantic background music. Superb authentic dishes (tripe, oxtail) in a n unburdened menu. Great Italian wine list - several available by carafe as well as whole bottle.. Some dishes to die for. Not cheap - but hey it's Knightsbridge.

A work colleague recommended The Grenadier for their Beef Wellington, and it did not disappoint. We arrived at the well hidden pub on a cute, cobblestone street, and it did not look too busy with only a couple of people outside having a drink. The minute we opened the door, we were surprised to see it packed from wall to wall with an energetic, upscale after work crowd. What a great atmosphere! The ceiling is covered with paper money from around the world. They had our reserved table right away, so we were a little sad that we had to leave the fun bar area, but we were excited to try the menu. The dining room was only a few inches away. There are only a handful of tables in the entire restaurant, and it is cozy and quaint. There is not a lot of room in this pub, but that's what makes the ambiance so great. We ordered the Scotch Egg for the appetizer. The presentation was magnificent, and they tasted as good as they looked. The Beef Wellington was perfectly cooked, and the gravy was spectacular. The fresh cask ales were a prefect addition to a memorable night. Afterward, when we told people about our wonderful night, they kept saying, "Oh, yeah. That place is famous." Definite recommend! You can order appetizers at the bar, but i recommend getting reservations so you can enjoy the Beef Wellington.
