Reservations for large parties are required, however we are able to accommodate walk-ins should we have availability.     The House on the River is my “go to” for Sunday brunch prior to a show at Broward Performing Arts. This was my second visit and I am already looking forward to returning with my granddaughter in December! The food and drinks are delicious. The ambiance—both inside and outside seating—is stellar. Our waiter—“Sam”—was thoughtful and made sure we got to our show on time. A wonderful spot on the river that has old school charm with classic brunch fare beautifully prepared.

    Our server (Hernando) was phenomenal & made great dish and wine suggestions. The shell tower, for the value, did not come with much but was flavorful. The branzino was probably the best I’ve ever had & the sundae dessert was delicious. The ambience was very nice, but if you plan to sit near the bar, prepare for quite a bit of noise as the night progresses. Overall a great experience and we’re likely to go back.
