Best Cozy Restaurants in Clawson

The place was great. Think the food was a tad under. Had the Branzino and the flavor was excellent but the crust could be flakier. My date had the short rib and it also had great flavor but could’ve been brought up to a higher temp to be more tender. Atmosphere was great! We appreciated the coat check as well. Want to come back for drinks soon.

Our dinner was great. It was nice to be seated at a table as opposed to the bar. The cocktails were delicious. The sea bass was amazing, as was the chicken parm, which exceeded our expectations. Service was fabulous. The flatbread was only so-so. But overall, excellent dinner.

I had an old fashioned that was probably the best I’ve ever had—smooth, balanced, and packed with flavor. If you’re not sure what to order, just tell them what you like, and they’ll whip up something amazing. The food was just as impressive. You can tell they put a lot of thought into the menu—everything was fresh, flavorful, and plated beautifully. Service was spot on—friendly, attentive, but never overbearing. They really make you feel welcome, and you can tell they love what they do. Overall, Johnny’s Speakeasy is a must-visit. Garrett was our server and he was very nice, he broke the menu down really well and easily and let us know what the specials were. The drinks we had were really flavorful and strong (in a good way). The Paella I had was really good, and so was the spicy lobster roll. My girlfriend had a spicy lobster pasta and her opinion it needed a little more heat and cream to the sauce. Overall, we had a really nice time and would definitely come back

Once again it was such a great dining experience. The staff especially our server engaged and gave us great recommendations for starters and entrees.
