Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in The Roads

This is our 4th or 5th visit to G&V. we always enjoy the unique outdoors ambiance in a garden setting. We had a really nice and knowledgeable server (Maura?) who was able to give detailed information about some of the cocktails and wines we were interested in as well as the menu offerings.

Doya – A Must-Try for Greek & Turkish-Inspired Meze Recently dined at Doya, a fantastic spot that blends Greek and Turkish flavors with a menu designed for sharing. The restaurant specializes in both cold and hot meze, making it perfect for a communal dining experience. For cold meze, I highly recommend the traditional fava bean spread, eggplant (babaganoush), green goddess dip (similar to tzatziki), and shrimp carpaccio—all fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Among the hot meze, we tried the rib steak over the wood-fired grill, which, while cooked well, needed a bit more seasoning. However, the grilled Dorado fish was outstanding—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. We rarely order dessert, but the chocolate mousse with cherries was a standout and an absolute must-try. Service at Doya is team-oriented, delightful, and impressively quick. The food comes out fast, making for a seamless dining experience without feeling rushed. Overall, Doya delivers a wonderful dining experience, with a well-executed menu, great service, and a lively atmosphere. Highly recommend for anyone looking to explore high-quality Mediterranean flavors in a shareable format.

We had an amazing time during our first visit to the Rusty Pelican. Valentina was the highlight of our night and made sure to answer every single one of our questions and gave amazing direction to which dishes were best. We went for the Sea bass with smoked plantain mash and the Squid Ink bucatini. Those dishes were breathtaking, the bucatini had a sizable portion of both lobster and shrimp with a delicious red sauce on top of perfectly cooked pasta. The Sea Bass was cooked to perfection and was like butter with every bite complimenting the bold, fresh, sweet, savory flavor of the plantain mash made me forget to talk during dinner. Desert was tempting with the bread pudding but we didn’t have time. We look forward to experiencing this restaurant again soon!

We made a reservation for Monday night. The dining room was mostly empty, so there were plenty of tables right on the water. It's an amazing experience to sit there and watch the boats go by so close. We had martinis with all those stuffed with blue cheese because that's what she likes. We also had a Kasserie cheese appetizer, which they flambé at the table that was excellent. This is a great place to go with a date

Total experience is consistently amazing. The pastrami egg roll is the best appetizer anywhere.
