As one of the oldest Pubs in the country , dating back to 1450, we have a relaxed cosy restaurant with open fires and aged oak beams, and in the warmer days you can enjoy our sun trap garden with far reaching views over the Eridge Park Estate. Water Lane is a restaurant based within a working market garden in the High Weald of Kent. Guided by the seasons, our menu reflects its sense of place in the English countryside where we grow our own vegetables and use local suppliers. Great Saturday morning family brunch at Water Lane. Nick and Ian do a brilliant job as hosts and the staff are so friendly and helpful with a large group and young children. Such delicious choices and the banana loaf with maple butter amazing. Great location and the glass houses just make it the most interesting place for brunch, lunch or dinner.

Fabulous service and delicious food. Always a lovely treat. The frozen lychee margarita was just as good as it looked. Food was tasty and beautifully presented, the staff are truly lovely and make you feel so welcome. We had the al a carte menu and every dish was a joy. Looking forward to our next visit.

Lunch for 2. Excellent location, comfortable and welcoming environment, tables nicely spaced, well thought-out menu and specials, good cooking, portions and presentation on the plate, decent wine list at sensible prices, charming staff, not rushed although we lingered until gone 5pm, overall a very satisfying and enjoyable experience. Value for money and highly recommended.

What a fantastic find. The moment we arrived we were warmly greeted by the bar and waiting staff. Very attentive throughout. A lovely cosy atmosphere as you would want from an English pub, Food choices were varied and suited all tastes and the standard of cuisine was very good. We live in France so for us this was a treat and we will be back
