Hamrock's Restaurant is located within the Moore-McCandlish House (built 1842) in the heart of historic Fairfax City. We've been proud to serve delicious made-to-order American dishes using fresh ingredients since our establishment in 2016. We also have a wonderful hand-selected wine list to enhance your dining experience. Approximately eighty-percent of our menu is-- or can be-- gluten-free, as we use only canola and olive oil in all of our cooking. Some of our best-selling dishes are our southern fried chicken, grilled meatloaf, and crab cakes-- all which are gluten free! Other menu favorites include our deviled eggs, firecracker shrimp, Atlantic grilled salmon, roasted pork tenderloin, and penne pasta with andouille sausage & shrimp. We have beautiful year-round outdoor seating options on our wrap around porch (we have heaters!) In the warmer months, we also open our courtyard. Everything we ate was amazing. The fried mozzarella and the arancini were so delicious and a great way to start off the meal. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the chicken had such amazing flavor. Service was fast and impeccable. The restaurant had a very comfortable and homey Italian feel, and it was very reasonably priced. 10/10, will be dining again.

Our waiter Hassan and the staff treated us So wonderfully. We were celebrating my parents 55th wedding anniversary and they had decorated our table with a card and confetti. We felt very cared about and taken care of, and tended to. The food was chef’s kiss times three! absolutely spectacular and delicious. Best steak (ribeye) I’ve ever had in my life. Wow! Thank you, Ruth’s Chris for such a wonderful experience. Can’t wait to come back! Top notch team you have there from the moment you pulled up, to the moment you left.

Jack was out server and he was amazing! Very attentive and pleasant! We had a show to attend and he got everything out quickly in a manner where we didn’t feel rushed or uncomfortable! He was the perfect server!

This is a nice restaurant; however, service was not particularly attentive, one of us didn't get the meal they ordered, and almost everything in every dish had WAY TOO MUCH pepper in it to be truly enjoyable. A true shame because the overall quality of the food, otherwise, was quite good. Generous portions for each of the 4 dishes we ordered. Nice presentation. Just too much pepper.
